Other users: Linux mint 17.3 worked out of the box w/ the nouveau.modeset=0 trick others mentioned. I tried the bcmwl-kernel-source_6.30.223.248+bdcom package in the driver manager, but my laptop just freezes attempting to apply and the broadcom option disappears from my driver manager. I have to reload factory bios settings to get it to work again, then of course, my bluetooth is not working again. Bluetooth: hci0: BCM: patch brcm/BCM2045A0-0a5c-6410.hcd not foundSo then I tried sudo cp BCM-0a5c-6410.hcd BCM2045A0-0a5c-6410.hcd - bluetooth works perfectly, but this kills the wifi somehow. bluetooth hci0: Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM2045A0-0a5c-6410.hcd failed with error -2 int3402 thermal: probe of INT3402:00 failed with error -22
